Marrakech with Atlas Mountains in the background ./../img/photos/morocco/030_060326_marrakesh_view_djemaa_el_fna_to_atlas.jpg
What a stunning backdrop.
Medina of Marrakech ./../img/photos/morocco/031_060326_marrakesh_medina.jpg
The medina, the old town, in Marrakech. It is really huge. Since it is almost completely covered, the orientation is not always easy.
Marrakech Koutoubia ./../img/photos/morocco/042_060326_marrakesh_koutoubia.jpg
The Koutoubia of Marrakech.
Marrakech Koutoubia ./../img/photos/morocco/045_060326_marrakesh_koutoubia.jpg
Hard to beat the delicious and fresh food.
Marrakech Kasbah Bab Ksiba ./../img/photos/morocco/054_060326_marrakesh_kasbah_bab_ksiba.jpg
Almost too good to be true: brooding storks.
Marrakech Djemaa El Fna ./../img/photos/morocco/073_060326_marrakesh_djemaa_el_fna.jpg
In the central square of Marrakech, there is a fantastic market every evening with all sorts of delicious things to eat.

With such a backdrop, the bus journey was even more fun.

On the way from Marrakech to Ouarzazate.
Into the Mhamid desert ./../img/photos/morocco/107_060328_mhamid_desert.jpg
The Mhamid desert was the highlight of out trip.
The desert Mhamid was the right introduction for Claudia. It was her first trip into a desert.
The lost desert town of Oulad Driss Kasbah ./../img/photos/morocco/120_060328_oulad_driss_kasbah.jpg
In the "middle" of the desert a lost city appeared.
Rode through the deserted desert Mhamid ./../img/photos/morocco/127_060328_mhamid_desert.jpg
Somehow Claudia does not really get used to camels. She did not get the right rhythm.
Mhamid desert ./../img/photos/morocco/133_060328_mhamid_desert.jpg
Therefore, she preferred to walk long distances rather than riding the camel.
Close to Erglehoudi
Erglehoudi is a nice place to rest.
Animal Treks ./../img/photos/morocco/175_060329_mhamid_erglehoudi.jpg
In a sandy desert you are never alone. It crawls from right to left. From top to bottom. And back.
The width of Erglehoudi ./../img/photos/morocco/176_060329_mhamid_erglehoudi.jpg
Impressive. Just sand and width. Good thing we had a local guide. Otherwise we could had easily lost.
The return trip through the desert Mhamid ./../img/photos/morocco/184_060329_mhamid_desert.jpg
Also the best time come to an end and we unfortunately had to start heading back. As always, time went by too quickly.
On the way to Agdz ./../img/photos/morocco/186_060329_mhamid_to_agdz.jpg
On the way to Marrakech ./../img/photos/morocco/206_060330_agdz_to_marrakesh.jpg
As on the way to to desert we enjoyed the great view.
On the return journey to Marrakech ./../img/photos/morocco/216_060330_agdz_to_marrakesh.jpg
A lot to see on the way.
A paradise for women ./../img/photos/morocco/217_060330_marrakesh.jpg
Shoes, shoes, shoes....
Hassan II Mosque ./../img/photos/morocco/225_060401_casablanca_hassan_ii_mosque.jpg
The Hassen II Mosque is almost the only thing in Casablanca (perhaps next to the souk) which is interesting for tourists. Maybe it's because of the fact that Casablanca has a certain reputation due to various movies.
